We took the situations a trout angler actually runs into — rising fish, nothing rising, fast water, high water, a lake instead of a river — and built one box of proven patterns that handles all of it.

What This Box Covers

This is a full-range trout box, not a one-technique starter pack. It's built to cover:

• Dry fly fishing — mayflies, caddis, midges, and a searching attractor for water with no obvious hatch
• Nymphing — general subsurface patterns, a fast-sinking option for deep or fast water, and a big stonefly nymph for freestone rivers
• Terrestrials — a hopper and an ant for grassy banks and low summer water
• Stillwater — a balanced leech built to fish correctly under an indicator on a lake
• Streamers and baitfish — a woolly bugger and a Clouser Minnow for covering water and looking for aggressive fish
• Sea-run cutthroat crossover — the same Clouser and woolly bugger do double duty on coastal estuaries and beaches
